Babymoon!

Standard

Mark and I planned to go to New Orleans for Halloween, this year. We booked the flights months ago. Since finding out we were expecting parents, Halloween on Bourbon Street just didn’t sound like the best idea. We moved up the travel dates and went Sunday-Wednesday, instead. By definition, we had ourselves a babymoon!

I love traveling with Mark, and we do it very well together. The trip was nice–relaxing, good food, nice people, and exploring the city by streetcar. Back to the food…crab claws and po’boys are on point! I have to say, our first impression of NOLA was not the best one. It is on the dirtier side, and very smelly in some areas. BUT, it’s a city that really grows on you. Mark and I asked each other if we can see ourselves living in NOLA, and we both said no. Not that we are home, we find ourselves missing the Big Easy all the time! The people and food are what really make the place!

Current cravings: Po’boys and this cooked crawfish sushi that we had in NOLA. Yum!

Dear Edamame,

You had your first flight in the womb, and you did great! Mom didn’t feel sick or anything. 🙂 When you move around with force, Daddy can see your movements, now. It’s very cool! Can you hear the classical music Mommy plays every morning on the way to work? Hope you like it! We love you, little man. You’re going to be such a handsome fella like Daddy.
Love,
Edamommy
